With Glastonbury just gone and a slew of summer music & food festivals coming up, we have started to get a hankering for good street food - globally inspired, indulgent, fun dishes that makes your eyes, tastebuds and belly smile. We've done our fair share in the past and the main course this week is a Native classic, a dish we do for late night food at parties & weddings. It always puts smiles of (drunk) faces and one that people tell us that their guests can't stop raving about. So we're doing it for you to eat at home... MENU 🍔 

🌮 We begin with a Mexican inspired taco starter. Sweet summer corn combine with earthy black beans to be stuffed inside a soft, proper corn tortilla for you to slather with burnt onion relish and drizzle with sweet, salty & slightly spicy pineapple ketchup before topping with crunchy crispy onions. 🍔 Our Crisp Pig Buns™ (or the carrot falafel version for veggies) are, for us the epitome of street food - pulled pork elevated to epic proportions: Local pork shoulder is cooked overnight with spices until soft and tender. It's then shredded, mixed with our 'mother sauce' and set like a rillettes. We then cut it into patties, crumb it with uber-crispy panko before deep frying. It's like a pulled pork schnitzel but, way better. A slightly spicy, crunchy summer slaw brings freshness and welcomed acidity, the chipotle ketchup a smoky edge the mustard mayo a peppery, creamy hit. Sandwiched in a soft brioche bun it's got everything going on! The veggie version is a touch less gluttonous but as delicious with crispy carrot falafel replacing the pork. A side of our crunchy cumin chips with a tumeric yoghurt dressing are our take on chips.

🍩 Who doesn't love churros?! A Spanish take on doughnuts, their crispy exterior and fluffy centre make them a street food classic loved around the world. Tossed in cinnamon sugar and then dunked in warm chocolate sauce, they're a properly decadent end to this week's street food speciale 🤤.
